Moonboy faced serious sexual assault allegations in 2019 involving a minor (Refer to Reddit Post #1 Above), ultimately leading to his "cancellation" via online cancel culture.
The popular opinion was that Moonboy's career was over - and for a while, it was. These are, of course, "allegations".
But after sweeping his past under the rug, MoonBoy returned, adding more to his list of shady endevours.
Presumably unable to secure live show bookings due to his tainted reputation and COVID-19 restrictions, he resorted to producing mediocre YouTube tutorials on music production while peddling overpriced, deceptive online courses and sample packs to his viewers. Despite garnering initial interest from beginner music producers, many soon discovered the deceptive quality of his offerings. When they voiced their concerns to Moonboy, they were silenced via bans from his Discord server, and word filter settings on his social media pages, which blocked comments containing words like "scam," "refund," and "ripoff." Priced at a minimum of $200 and restricted to just 500 copies, Moonboy's repetitive strategy follows a predictable pattern: assemble a cookie-cutter producer bundle, include promises he can not deliver, advertise it vigorously through YouTube and email lists, amass a staggering $100,000 in sales within days, silence any dissenting voices through censorship, and then rinse and repeat the cycle. Adding to the saga, Moonboy recently found himself embroiled in a violent domestic abuse scenario involving his most recent (now former) girlfriend, an online influencer known for her EDM-inspired aesthetic, Brinda "WavyBrin" Arreygue [ Instagram ]. In short, Moonboy recently made a public post claiming he saved her during an attempt she took on her own life. But Brinda quickly refuted his claims via Instagram, claiming MoonBoy's story was untruthful. (Refer to Reddit Post #3 Above, and images below.)

through his teeth trying to minimize public scrutiny in a reply to the Reddit post, created by a customer who felt deceived.
Multiple verified customers provided insight to their email feed, showing no such fix ever existed.

A significant factor lies in the power to censor and bury unfavorable interactions on social media platforms as a content creator. By stifling negative feedback, creators can maintain the illusion of a pristine reputation, leaving others none the wiser about their questionable actions.
Beginner music producers also often tend to flock at the opportunity to be involved with anyone that has a large online presence in hopes of trying to gain exposure - even if the opportunity is gatekept behind overpriced snake oil. A false "hype" is created due to what essentially becomes a competition to catch the attention of the influencer by any means necessary. If they choose to look the other way regarding shady activities, they become a part of the problem.
Another factor contributing to the continued collaboration and support for questionable individuals like Shawn extends beyond average viewers, encompassing other influencers within the community. Some influencers may either be uninformed about the individual's controversial background or deliberately choose to turn a blind eye to it.
